Had a great get together with the Bathurst Art Society and Miramichi Art Core taking part in a Pastel Workshop.
This workshop was part of the Art Tells Stories “Year of Learning” project. A number of other workshops has been offered previously, by members of both groups.
Terry Matthews and Kelly Hay-Hambrook conducted the workshop. Rick Knowles was unable to be present because of work commitments.
The day was structured this way:
- Composition and Layout
- Using Coloured Pencils
- Soft and Hard Pastels
Everyone had lots of laughs and all those attending went home with a complete set of Soft Pastels so they could explore this medium further.
Our thanks to the Carrefour Beausoleil school for providing a large room that accommodated the group for the day.
There will be photos of the workshop on this site shortly.
If you are an artist in North NB you should join our group and gain access to workshops like this one. The workshops are free except for the cost of materials.
Had a great time as one of the workshop instructors. Saw many happy red fox pastel paintings being produced.
